One Troy Ounce of Silver - These new, 2008 Silver Philharmonics are large, silver-dollar-sized bullion coins guaranteed to contain one full troy ounce of fine silver.
99.9% Fine Silver - Each 2008 Austrian Philharmonic Silver coin is struck in .999 fine silver and is minted with extremely intricate details nearly identical to the Gold Philharmonic coin series.
The obverse is the inscription “1 Unze Feinsilber,” or “1 ounce pure silver,” located below the “Great Pipe Organ” of Vienna’s Golden Concert Hall, home of the Philharmonic. The obverse bears the country of issue– Republic of Austria the year of issue 2008, and the face value of €1.5 Euros.
The reverse of each Silver Philharmonic coin is a bouquet of instruments with the word “Silber” featured directly above.
